Susan McLain has been a member of Local 76-493 since 1989 and has served on the Executive Board since 1983. She held the position of President from 1996 until 2003. As a freelance harpist, her concern is to make the union relevant to workers not covered by collective bargaining agreements. The history of the labor movement has enriched her understanding of her work and citizenship.
