The week after Thanksgiving marks the beginning of the busy season for most musicians. Many have been booked ahead of time since the year before for various dates in December.  The good news is that Christmas & Hanukkah music can be performed by almost any style of musician on most instruments.

Common requests for holiday musicians include String Trios & Quartets, Solo Harp, Brass Quintets, Solo Piano, Flute & Harp, Solo Guitar and Jazz Combos.  Professional musicians should all be able to perform arrangements of Christmas tunes for quite a few hours. Hanukkah music is a little more specialized and not as available for all ensembles but with enough advance notice, music can be procured.

Hiring holiday musicians at the last minute (and that would be now) may take a little more time but the Musicians’ Union can help. Send us a referral via the “Hire a Musician” link or just give us a call at 206-441-7600. Our staff consists of professional musicians who are more than happy to find you live music for your party or event.  We send your request out to our membership and only those that are available on your date will respond. This saves you time and hassle. Those musicians should include links to their websites and sound samples, you choose who you think fits best and contact them directly.

Live Christmas and Hanukkah music makes every event more memorable and full of holiday spirit.
